Shelby's Sporting Goods Manufacturing and Distribution started much like a lot of other businesses, out of a desire to have
Something Better. I was raised where, every Saturday, we just went camping, and with that we brought our
rod and reels, trot lines, and other fishing gear.
Catfish don't bite every night or day. Sometimes, from my
experience, they may go a day or two before they feed. They didn't eat when everyone else did. But the
biggest problem I always had, was keeping the bait on the hook. I tried everything, from snipping squares
of panty hose to rolling it in flour. Nothing really worked well. I came up with an idea one day, and it worked!
I can't tell you our secret, but I can tell you, our bait will stay on a single hook longer than any bait I have
seen. And I think I have tried most of them. Under normal circumstances our bait will stay on the hook 24 to 36
hours. Of course for test, we put the bait where there are no fish, because where there are fish, the bait won't
stay on that long. Instead of bait you will probably have fish on your line.
So, try our bait and see if you don't bring home more fish! I believe you will have a safe, pleasant and fun fishing trip.
Yours Truly,
Shelby G. Dixson
